Homeschool nature study doesn’t have to be overwhelming. You can approach it gently and simply and adjust it to your own delight-directed pace. The important thing is to enjoy nature study, not squeeze the life out of it.

10 Days of Homeschool Nature Study

This 10-day series will help inspire you with nature study ideas that take a simple approach. (You’ll find all the posts in the series below for your convenience.)

Nature study for kids should be fun, engaging, and simple. Kids are inherently interested in being outdoors and learning about plants and animals and the natural world around them, so take advantage of that built-in curiosity.

As Christian homeschool parents, we want to teach our children about the wonders of God’s creation. There is so much to learn and appreciate about His design for every living thing and the world He created.

Our Journey Westward

Interested in Charlotte Mason nature study? Her ideas influence our homeschool in many ways, including nature study, so I will be mentioning her thoughts in my posts as well.

“A love of nature, implanted so early that it will seem to them hereafter to have been born in them, will enrich their lives with pure interests, absorbing pursuits, health, and good humour.”
