How to Easily Build Your Own Homeschool Curriculum
Digital homeschool curriculum can save both time and money — and let’s face it, homeschool moms could use help with both of those limited commodities! Find out how to easily build your own homeschool curriculum using digital products to save time, money, and frustration in this post.
How to Build your Own Homeschool Curriculum
I have to admit that given an unlimited budget, I would buy all.the.books. There are many homeschool curriculum companies that we have used and loved and many more that I would like to try.
However, I don’t have an unlimited budget and not every curriculum works for us and we really do best when we can follow delight-directed learning and change resources on a regular basis. We’re too freewheeling and rabbit-trail-following to stick to just one set curriculum forever.
When I say “build your own homeschool curriculum,” I don’t mean that you have to make everything from scratch, though you certainly can do that. In this case, I mean piecing together different resources to find what works best for your children and their learning styles.
Using digital homeschool curriculum is a simple way to do this for several reasons:
- It’s usually more affordable.
- It’s available instantly.
- It doesn’t take up room on your shelves.
- You can mix and match anything you want easily.
Personally, I tend to watch for bundle sales to get a bunch of resources at once at a low price. This is quick and easy and leaves me with no guilt on overspending or switching out resources on a regular basis.
