These are some of my favorite verses at any time, but they’re especially good to memorize and focus on during hard times. You might also like to read some ideas to include more quiet time into your days in this post: 5 Practical Tips to Find Daily Time with God

1. Psalm 9:9-10

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

2. Philippians 4:19

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

3. Psalm 32:7-8

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

4. 1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

5. Romans 8:18

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

6. 1 Peter 1 6-7

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

7. Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

8. Mark 9:23

And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”

9. Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

10. Ecclesiastes 7:10

Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.

Getting through a difficult time isn’t always easy, but God has given us His word to make sure we understand His promises. Whether your difficult time lasts a few hours or a few days, I hope you find comfort in these 10 verses.

Pls put me in your prayers , I’ve been married for 3 years now without any children. But I believe that God will do it for me and my life will be a life of testimony. I believe in God and His only begotten son Jesus Christ.
Thank you once again for allowing God to use you.

    1. I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. I will definitely pray for you! I understand how you feel — it took us 6 years to have our first daughter, and then another 6 years to have our second daughter. Our third daughter was an unexpected miracle 2 years later. I’ve been through 3 miscarriages, but I know that our babies are safe at home with the Lord and we’ll be reunited some day. 9. Praising Jesus for you Sara!!

Came across this scripture and 1Peter 1:6-7 was exactly what went on in my experience at my moms today!

Encouraged 1 Thess 5:11 Justin fact is what you are doing!!

To share that 1 Peter 1:6-7 Jesus helped me thru when was ready to give in to the craving for popcorn or salty chips or food item knowing I was full and this particular scripture had be coming up a lot:

“No man can serve two masters Matt 6:24 ❤️ love one and hate the other…”

    contemplating internally:
“ I can’t do it I am going to give in!!

Rejoicing!! Now Jesus Christ got me thru it!! Like 1 Peter 1:6-7 I was grieved by this trial and my faith was tested being a disciple for Christ “Count the Cost” Luke 14:28

    Praise Jesus!! Thank you Jesus!!
He didn’t let me give in!! “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

The word made flesh =Jesus Christ!! John 1:14

The word does not come back void or empty but the word of God goes out and achieves it purpose for which he sends it! Isa 55:11
Praise Jesus he found a way out for me!

    6. 1 Peter 1 6-7

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
