Life Lessons from Sense and Sensibility
Jane Austen is one of my favorite writers. Some may think her books are antiquated and only reflect a time long since past, but I believe there are still life lessons for today in her stories.
My blogger friend at Future.Flying.Saucers is a fellow book lover and Jane Austen fan, too. I recently had the chance to guest post on her blog about the relevant lessons in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility as part of the 19th Century Literature series she hosted. Here is an excerpt from my post:
The struggle between logic and emotion is something we can all probably relate to in life. Jane Austen examines this issue in her first published novel, Sense and Sensibility. It still offers relevant insight into human nature today, more than 200 years later.
Do you lead with your head or your heart? Have you learned to strike a good balance?
