Online Homeschool Convention: 7 Reasons This is What You Need Right Now
An online homeschool convention can be a convenient and affordable alternative when you can’t get to a homeschool convention in person. All you need is internet access!
Homeschool conventions are a great way to learn about different homeschool curriculum, helpful resources, practical ideas, and meet new homeschooling families. Of course the sessions at homeschool conventions can be invaluable as far as encouragement and learning new things.
Unfortunately, due to time, location, and/or budget constraints, attending a homeschool convention just isn’t possible for everyone.
My confession: I’ve been homeschooling for over 14 years and have never been able to attend an in-person homeschool convention. Online homeschool conventions have been a great affordable and convenient alternative for me!
7 Reasons to Attend an Online Homeschool Convention
- An online homeschool convention comes with lifetime access. While local homeschool conventions are great for the day or the weekend, you aren’t able to re-visit the experience after they’re over. With an online homeschool convention, you can replay the sessions again and again to absorb the info and take notes.
- With an online homeschool convention, you can attend ALL the sessions and not have to miss any. I know sometimes in person there are sessions scheduled at the same time and you might miss a few that you wanted to hear. That’s not a problem with the online homeschool convention because you can listen at your own pace, in your own time.
- For introverts like me, all of the social interaction takes place online. That means you can participate if you’d like, but it’s also okay to “lurk” and just glean from the info shared in the group. Either way, there is a social component to the online homeschool convention even though it’s virtual.
- You will be introduced to new ideas and fresh perspectives, no matter how long you’ve been homeschooling. It’s always nice to hear from other homeschoolers who understand the issues that matter to you.
- You’ll find new blogs to follow and new resources to enrich your homeschool.
- You’ll be reassured that even if you’re watching while folding laundry or cooking, you’re not alone and you’re doing something important for yourself, your children, and your homeschool.
- There’s no pressure to get it done all at once. Your own pace equals no stress or feeling behind. If a certain session doesn’t apply to you right now, it might in a few years. You’ll still have access to watch then!
Online Homeschool Convention: Homeschool Summits
Have you ever felt like you’re spinning your wheels, trying to stay on top of all the choices and activities that come your way as a homeschool parent?
We have. It’s why we’re creating a week-long online event that will bring all of us God-centered help and hope for deciding what matters to our families, defining a workable homeschool plan, and directing our paths toward the eternal – even when life happens. It’s the Homeschool Fitting-It-All-In Summit 2.0, coming October 11-16, 2021.
The best part? We’re not just grabbing up piles of tips and tricks. Instead, we’re taking the time to focus on the truth found in God’s Word and the hope that lies in trusting in Jesus Christ for today and for the future.
Each day, we’ll focus on a specific step on the path towards fitting in what really matters:
- Charting Your Course: Learn how to change your perspective to match God’s view as revealed in His Word.
- The Homeschool Gameplan: Get insight into academic necessities and how to make sure they can realistically work out in your homeschool.
- Home Management Strategies: Find out how to keep household duties running smoothly in the midst of schooling, and come away with specific action items to make changes beginning tomorrow.
- Building Your Team: Discover the beauty of a family working together to build God’s kingdom and how to keep relationships healthy for maximum joy from parents down to little ones.
- Eternal Priorities: Reorient yourself to stick to the mission of following Christ, leading your children to Him, and influencing others for the Gospel
The entire event is free if you sign up by October 11th, and in addition to the video content, you’ll also get access to an easy-to-search exhibit hall (with exclusive discounts and freebies) and a private Facebook group to connect with speakers and other attendees.
Sign up today for the Homeschool Fitting-It-All Summit 2.0 for a week of valuable wisdom and Christ-centered hope so you can conquer your homeschool overwhelm.
