Learn to R.E.A.D. with Multisensory Lessons and Activities
Learning to read is one of the biggest milestones for our kids. As homeschool parents, we get the privilege of being there for that breakthrough moment when our child says, “Look, I can read it!” It’s one of my favorite things about the early years of homeschooling. My girls all love books and we enjoy read-alouds together, but there’s just something about being able to read a book independently that really cements that love of reading.
Sometimes, as much as we love books, learning to read isn’t easy.
My youngest (7) has been a struggling reader — until we started using Learn to R.E.A.D. curriculum from The Crafty Classroom! She has begun to thrive because she really looks forward to doing her lessons with this program. It’s a downloadable 36-week curriculum designed to provide multisensory lessons, activities, and games to help with the skills necessary for successful reading.
{Don’t miss the giveaway at the end of this post!}
Alongside reading lots of books together, we have been using these lessons and activities almost daily. She has gained confidence with the “quick wins” she gets with these activities. Because it’s multisensory, she gets to use her creative skills to color, cut, and paste as well. She loves that aspect! One of her favorite activities is the Phonics Bingo game. It has helped her to sound out words, something she struggled with before.
Learn to R.E.A.D.
Learn to R.E.A.D. stands for Ready, Eager, Able, and Determined. I’m a big proponent of not pushing children too early to read so you won’t drain the joy of reading from them. This curriculum backs that up by emphasizing the idea that there’s no rush to read. We want to gain mastery and enjoyment, not just meet numbers on a standardized chart. Remember, that’s one of the advantages of homeschooling!
In addition to Learn to R.E.A.D., there is a companion review set of printable early readers that help kids practice phonics and sight words. These are fun little books that target rhyming words and CVC word families. It’s easy to print what you need when you need it. My daughter likes to add some of her own personality to them by coloring them and putting a sticker on the cover when she finishes reading it to show that she’s mastered that book.

I like the alphabet curriculum for my 3-year-old and maybe for the baby in a few years. The U.S.A. activity pack looks interesting for my 8 & 10 year olds.

We love the Crafty Classroom Bible curriculum! We don’t homeschool yet, but it’s a great intro for my 4 year old! I am able to choose which sheets I use and as she grows I can add in the harder sheets. Thank you!!
I am interested in the pencil control workbook.
Additional products by the same publisher would be learning about the USA.
I love the crafty classroom! I have the sequencing pack and my kids love it. And it is great for opening the door into other subjects. I would really love this pack! Thank you!

This looks perfect for my kids! Thanks for the giveaway!
I have been looking at this curriculum for quite some time now. I missed the sale they had and it broke my heart! My two little who are just now starting to read would love this!!
I really like the Geography bundle!
What a great idea! I have two kids that already have no trouble reading, one entering pre-k age this year, and a two year old plus a baby on the way. I just started homeschooling this year, and my son was already well on his way to learning to read so I didn’t have to do much with him at that point. This sounds like a great resource.
We used Maze Writer at the beginning of the year with our children. It made learning handwriting so much fun! Even my one-year old enjoyed “writing”. I’ve had my eye on the science curriculum for some time now. I am going to get it when we begin the next semester of our school year.
Very interested in reading curriculums because I just started teaching ESL and phonics to K5 children in Peru!
Amazing giveaway!
This looks interesting for our youngest son who will be starting kindergarten in the fall.
I would love to look at the Learn the USA product as well. We are studying the USA in Geography this year.
I really enjoyed the preschool BIBLE curriculum and am looking forward to the next step with my daughter 🙂
I love the USA State to State and would love to see some additional geography books on continents or countries around the world.
This curriculum recently caught my eye. It looks and sounds like a great one to use.
I’d like to have all of the ABC Bible and the USA State to State. I know my children would love them and definitely benefit from learning in a fun way. Thank you for the giveaway!
I love all of their resources! We are currently using the Kindergarten Interactive Notebook and their Writing a Paragraph program as well. My kids are loving it!
