Truth and Beauty with the (in)courage Devotional Bible

We know that truth and beauty go hand-in-hand in life by God’s design. This is visually demonstrated in the new (in)courage Devotional Bible for women.

I was so glad to have the opportunity to receive a copy of this devotional Bible to use in my own daily readings. I’m happy to share about it now in the hopes it will enrich your faith walk, too!

(in)courage Devotional Bible for Women

This Bible is in the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation and includes encouraging devotionals throughout to help you apply the readings to your own life. If you’re not familiar with the CSB, here is a description from the website:

The CSB (in)courage Devotional Bible features the highly readable, highly reliable text of the Christian Standard Bible® (CSB). The CSB stays as literal as possible to the Bible’s original meaning without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with Scripture’s life-transforming message and to share it with others.

Some very familiar names in the Christian writing world have contributed to the devotionals in this Bible — Liz Curtis Higgs, Michelle Cushatt, Ann Voskamp, Tricia Goyer, Wynter Pitts, Sally Clarkson — just to name a few. Each brings her own insight to Bible application and encouragement. These are women I have enjoyed reading and learning from for years! You can read the full list of authors in this link. There are 122 authors total and they’ve written 312 devotionals.

Inside the (in)courage Devotional Bible

The Bible is visually appealing from the inside out. It’s always nice to have something lovely to accompany my daily devotions and this devotional Bible definitely fits the bill. I have the green cloth over board hardcover, but there are other options as well, including leather.

There is scripture art interwoven throughout along with brief introductions of each book of the Bible. I especially like the scripture art. It’s so encouraging and can help with memorizing verses.

The (in)courage Devotional Bible traces ten themes throughout the Bible. A specific color and pattern helps you find each theme’s reading plan, devotions, and “Women of Courage” profiles, as well as two beautifully designed Scripture verses (one from the Old Testament and one from the New).

The ten reading plan themes are:

  • Beautiful Brokenness
  • Better Together
  • Daily Grace
  • Everyday Leadership
  • Friendship on Purpose
  • Hope in the Hard
  • Imperfect Hospitality
  • Intentional Gratitude
  • Second Chances
  • The Scared Brave

Each circles back to women of courage in the Bible. I love these themes and the fact that they offer women true empowerment in Christ, not in anything the world offers or doesn’t offer. That’s so important to me as I’m raising daughters of faith!

There is also space for journaling with lined pages at different places throughout the Bible. It’s great to jot down your thoughts and prayers as you’re reading.

I highly recommend the (in)courage devotional Bible to women of all ages. It feels like sitting down with a good friend to discuss the issues we face today as women following Christ.

I plan to share it with my daughters when they’re older. It makes a great heirloom to pass along to them. It would also make a lovely gift for your sister, mom, or friend.
