100 Verses in 2013: Weeks 5 & 6
We are already through 10 verses memorized in our journey to memorize 100 verses this year! Although we move ahead each week to learn the new verses, we continue to re-visit the ones we have memorized in order to keep them fresh in our minds. Some have been easier than others, I admit.
If you have read my blog before, you probably know that I enjoy making word art — adding quotes or Bible verses to my own photographs a la the Scripture and a Snapshot meme that I like so well. Marcy at Ben and Me has created some word art to go along with our memory verses and I’d like to share them here because I think they’re a great help to memorizing, too. Anytime you can add another one of the five senses to the process, like a visual element or a song, it helps to cement the information in your mind.
Romans 10:10 “For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
