How to Plan with Faith Even in Difficult Times
You can still plan with faith, even in the midst of troubling times. Read more about how you can plan ahead with hopeful purpose while keeping your faith at the center of your life.
Do you find it hard to plan during challenging times? I’ve heard many comments from friends and fellow moms that they’re not even going to try to plan because nothing in 2020 went as they envisioned. I can understand that — it’s obviously been a difficult year on many levels. However, I want to encourage you that it’s possible to plan with faith even in difficult times because of God’s promises. He is faithful, loving, and never changes, even when everything around us is in confusion.
Plan with Faith
How can you plan with faith when you aren’t sure what “normal” is anymore? It can be done when we keep our eyes on Christ and His promises to us.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” ~ John 16:33
I believe in pursuing purpose in all things. Our God-given purpose and mission in life can keep us focused even when things around us are chaotic. I’ve written about these principles before and it seems they’ve never been more timely than right now.

Spiritual Seeds Planner
The Spiritual Seeds Planner is a planning tool designed to help Christians prioritize living a fruit-filled life, guided by the Holy Spirit.
The Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness and Self-Control. (Galatians 5:22-23) The planner uses a gardening theme concentrating on four garden plots – Friends/Family, Self, Community, Vocation/Work.
Each month focuses on one Fruit, detailing actions to plant + cultivate + grow. You choose what you wish to focus on for the month and the week. Actions are planned daily for highest yield. Cute garden themed stickers provide visuals for tracking growth. Unlike any other planner, Spiritual Seeds Planner prioritizes and plans Spiritual growth over daily “to do” lists and activities focusing on growth rather than achievement.

Spiritual Seeds Planner Review
I received the Spiritual Seeds Planner in Grapefruit Pink, but it’s also available in Slate Grey and Coconut Brown. The cover is a soft faux leather with an embossed tree and the fruit of the Spirit qualities listed out amongst the leaves and branches. It’s an excellent visual reminder of exactly what you hope to cultivate in your life.
The planner also has a ribbon bookmark in the spine to keep your place, a pocket in the back cover to hold your markers/pens or other small items, and thick pages that don’t bleed through even when using gel pens.
There is plenty of space to write on the monthly grid calendars, but there are also weekly spread calendar pages. That’s one of my favorite features as I use that a lot with my regular planner.
My first question was “Can this replace my typical planner or is it supplemental?” Honestly, this could be the only planner you need. You can keep track of your to-do lists and appointments as with any standard planner, but more than that you can keep track of your spiritual health and development.
Personal growth as a Christian is very important to me, so I think this planner is ideal to cover all aspects of life that matter to me. I really love the concept and format of the Spiritual Seed Planner!
Think of the Spiritual Seeds Planner as a faith-based vision board to track the character qualities and heartfelt work of being a Christian. More than just a laundry list of to-dos, it can help you deepen your relationship with Christ.
I highly recommend the Spiritual Seeds Planner if you’re looking for a planner for the upcoming year. It’s available in dated format for 2021, but there’s an undated version as well in case you want some flexibility with it.
