With so much digital homeschool curriculum available now, many families are turning to it as an affordable and instantly accessible option for homeschooling. My bookshelves at home are overflowing and I will never give up my “real” books, but I have found the value in using digital curriculum as well. As a result of that, my computer is full of homeschool curriculum that I haven’t had the chance (or the resources) to print yet. Can you relate?
We do a lot of lapbooking and notebooking in our homeschool. All of those resources are digital. Some I’ve purchased, some I’ve made myself. Either way, they’re stored on my computer and honestly, sometimes I forget what I have. Then I have to go hunting for it. Even though I have made special folders on my computer to try to stay organized, it’s not an ideal system. Once I find what I need, I also have to print it. Which means I need the time to plan it ahead so I can print it before my daughters are ready for it. I have to have the ink and paper supplies ready to go also. With our style of delight-directed learning, sometimes my girls get an idea to do a lapbook on a whim and finding it and printing it out slows us down.
Note: I received free services from The Homeschool Printing Company for the purpose of review. I was not required to write a positive review and all opinions expressed are my own. I was compensated for my time to write this post.

What is The Homeschool Printing Company?
The Homeschool Printing Company is a new family-owned business, started by a veteran homeschool family with a mission to simplify printing homeschool curriculum. They want to lower the expenses of printing by providing this service at a very discounted rate for homeschoolers. I love the idea and the spirit behind it!
They aren’t a full-service print/copy shop, but instead they specialize in printing PDF documents. They can do black and white, color, single-sided, double-sided, spiral-bound, and laminated. Because they focus in on these things, they can offer very competitive prices. You email the PDF documents and instructions to them, they respond with an estimate. If you decide to go ahead, they print them, ship them, and then you pay after you approve the order. Pretty awesome process, if you ask me.
My Experience with The Homeschool Printing Company
I was very pleased with the entire process, from ordering to receiving it in a timely manner. I did an unboxing video to show the order I received. You can take a look at that here to get an idea of the quality of the printing:
As you could see in the video, I had around 500 pages printed. I really put them to the test by requesting many different options. I asked for some single-sided, some double-sided, some three-hole-punched, some on colored paper, some black and white, some color, and some just partial sections of bigger PDF documents. Melissa at The Homeschool Printing Company was very friendly, responded promptly, and followed my directions exactly. Great service!
I had three separate lapbooks printed, which are huge files. Now I have file folders in my desk with the print-outs organized and ready to go anytime we want to work on those lapbooks. Same thing for our Grapevine Bible studies, including the Teacher’s Manual.
Here is a detailed list of what I had printed, along with close-up photos:
The Essential Year Round Homeschooling Planner (read my review here):
Mom’s Quiet Time Journal (soon to be available on Embracing Destiny):
Lapbooks (Civil War, Human Body, Horses)
It only took about a week to receive my order, though that turnaround time will probably be longer during the busy back to school season. The Homeschool Printing Company is very upfront with the estimates and the time it takes depending on their current work load.
The Homeschool Printing Company Discount
If you mention my name (Sara at The Homeschool Post), you’ll receive 10% off the pre-shipping cost of your first order! Be sure to check out the prices and options on The Homeschool Printing Company website.
