National Hot Tea Month and Gifts for Tea Lovers
Did you know that January is National Hot Tea month? I had no idea it existed, but apparently there is a day or month to celebrate nearly everything you can think of. It’s an interesting study for homeschooling — learning more about little known dates or events. So this month we’re learning a little more about tea — how it’s grown, where it’s grown, and how it came to popularity. It’s amazing how much history and geography you can pack into these unexpected lessons!
Personally, I’m a big fan of tea, whether hot or iced. I don’t drink coffee. No, really, I don’t. I’ve never liked it. Tea, on the other hand, is my favorite beverage of choice. My absolute favorite is Twinings Irish Breakfast. I like it as iced tea, but it seems to just taste even better when I have it as hot tea in my Jane Austen quotes mug. 😉
