Matthew West “All In” CD Review + Giveaway
Music often sets the tone in our home. We listen to it while doing daily chores. Sometimes we listen while we homeschool. Sometimes we turn it on just to shake out the bad attitudes or when we’re feeling down in the dumps or just to get the wiggles out. Whatever the occasion, we enjoy contemporary Christian music on a regular basis.

We just had the chance to review Matthew West’s brand new CD All In. Matthew West has been one of our favorites for about 7 or 8 years now, so we were excited to hear his latest.
Matthew West “All In” CD
My girls will be the first to tell you that I tend to cry easily, especially when it comes to good music, a good story, and talking about Jesus. Matthew West’s CD has all of those elements, so I did have tears come to my eyes. Happy tears, I say.
It’s hard to choose just one favorite song on the CD. The duet with his daughter, Becoming Me, is really sweet. The title song, All In, reminds me somewhat of Steven Curtis Chapman’s Dive from his Speechless CD. That’s funny, because the song The Sound of a Life Changing includes Matthew’s story of attending an SCC concert and feeling the call to make music, too. The Beautiful Things We Miss is a reminder to live intentionally, with purpose, in the moment so you don’t miss the everyday blessings around you.

Matthew wrote his new album All In with the goal of encouraging himself and others to get up off the sidelines of their faith and really live it out – to go all in in your time with God, all in with your family, all in with your community, and all in battling your fears that may hold you back from becoming who God made you to be. Along that same theme, Matthew will be launching a 6-week All in Challenge on his social media and each week Matthew will be challenging his fans to go all in in a different part of their lives. What does it look like when a heart that knows Jesus takes a step and holds nothing back? How can we go All In in the places that mean the most?
Matthew West’s songs are like stories set to music. I love a good story and I really enjoyed this CD. It will be a favorite that we listen to over and over.
