5 Days of Purposeful Living
I’ve always believed that there is a reason for everything, a purpose in a greater plan. As a Christian, I know the ultimate plan is to glorify the Lord and to be a light for Christ. What does that look like in practice every day? How does it apply to motherhood, homeschooling, marriage, and all the things we try to balance as women?
This week I’ll be taking a look at these areas of life and what it means to live purposefully. I hope to offer encouragement as well as practical tips that you can use, like using Pinterest with Purpose and Purposeful Planning for Home and Homeschooling.
When I chose purpose as my word for 2014, I didn’t realize just how significant it would become. I’m learning new things about being intentional and purposeful, things that aren’t always easy. As with everything else, I can either embrace these lessons or resist them. I’ve learned the hard way that it’s best to embrace them — embracing destiny on this journey heavenward.
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time . . .
2 Timothy 1:9
There is a purpose to our days. There is a meaning. On a personal level through our relationship with Jesus and our loved ones and on a larger scale for the greater good.
I hope you’ll come along with me this week as I look at purposeful living in daily practice.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:12-14

I’m interested to read your series, Sara! I confess that I struggle with the idea of living intentionally.
