About Heart and Soul Homeschooling

Welcome to homeschooling with your whole heart!

You know that homeschooling is the right choice for your family, but sometimes you wonder if you’re doing it right.

What curriculum should I use?

Do I need curriculum?

What homeschool method is best for us?

Which books should we read together?

Am I doing enough?

Do any of these questions sound familiar?

You’re not alone! Welcome to the wonderful world of being a heart and soul homeschool mom.

I believe you can homeschool with clarity and confidence when you have the right tools to encourage and inspire you as a heart and soul homeschool mom.

Whether you’ve been homeschooling for a day, a year, or a decade, you need encouragement. You need reassurance that even when your days don’t match up to the ideals in your mind, you don’t need to second-guess yourself.

Juggling the responsibilities of home and homeschooling is hard. You pour your whole heart and soul into your family because you want them to know the joy of learning and living purposefully.

I believe that as moms, we know our children best and can give them an excellent educational experience that can be tailored to the individual needs of each child.

I believe that when you keep your long-term purposeful homeschool vision in mind, you can learn to relax and enjoy the experience.

About Sara

With a degree in Social Work specializing in early childhood development, I’ve always enjoyed working with children. I worked in a Montessori school before my daughters were born, so “alternative” education was on my radar even before I became a mom.

After years of struggling with miscarriages and chronic illnesses, my first daughter was born in 2001. I knew that I didn’t want to send her off to traditional public school. I did a lot of research (a lot!) and we began our official homeschool journey in 2006.

My husband and I were blessed with two more daughters in 2007 and 2009, who have also been homeschooled all along. Our eldest daughter is officially a homeschool graduate now, continuing her education in the field of web design and development.

I’m a writer, speaker, and homeschool consultant. I’m an introvert (INFJ if you know Myers Briggs), but I love supporting homeschool moms in their essential work and personal growth!
